The company has informed that Mr. Md. Sadequr Rahman, Director, Bangladesh Bank, has been appointed as the Administrator of the company. To support the administration and facilitate the smooth and effective conduct of the resolution process, the following officials of Bangladesh Bank have been appointed as Associate Administrators: 1. Mr. Shadril Ahmed, Additional Director, Bangladesh Bank 2. Mr. Md. Al-Amin, Additional Director, Bangladesh Bank. The Administrator and Associate Administrators assumed their respective responsibilities with effect from August 09, 2026.

The Company has informed that Mr. Md. Kalim Uddin has been assigned as the Company Secretary (Acting) of the company with immediate effect.

Trading of shares of Fareast Finance & Investment Limited shall remain suspended with effect from today, August 10, 2026 until further notice as Bangladesh Bank has declared the company as non-viable (okarjokar) in accordance with the Bank Resolution Act, 2026.

In response to a DSE query letter to the company regarding a news published in the online news titled "Decision to appoint administrators in five financial institutions (translated from Bengali to English)" on June 15, 2026, the company has clarified its position vide letter dated June 18, 2026 which reads, among others, as follows: "... Fareast Finance & Investment Limited has not received any official communication or correspondence (cont.1) from the concerned regulatory authority namely Bangladesh Bank in connection with the matter referred to in the said online news."

Refer to their earlier news disseminated by DSE on 13.05.2026. In this respect, the company in response to DSE's query has informed that they did not receive any official letter/communication in this regard.

DSE has issued a query letter to the company regarding online news published in the "https://www.newagebd.net" titled "BB decides to liquidate five NBFIs by July" on May 13, 2026. DSE is yet to receive any response from the company in this regard.
